Kristi Levy
Lead Author/AdministratorKristi Levy currently serves as Instructional Support for Technology Integration for the Oshkosh Area School District. In her role as a Technology Integrator, she has jointly led the way on a variety of district initiatives designed to implement transformational changes in teaching and learning in a rigorous, relevant and technology rich environment. Her district committee work includes the implementation of Google Apps for Education, the logistics and instructional planning for our 1:1 student and staff Chromebook implementation, establishing the Cohort for Personalized Learning, which was recognized by ASCD with the national Teacher Impact Grant award, and more. The work Levy has been part of has elevated the Oshkosh Area School District to nationwide recognition. In addition to her role as curricular support for technology, Levy serves on a number of committees focused on technology integration including: Virtual School Implementation, District Website Project Manager, Professional Learning Team Technology and more. Kristi is committed to revitalizing the classroom and is an experienced consultant and has presented at ISTE (2014 & 2016), presenter at SLATE WI state conference (2013, 2014, 2016), Presenter at WI ASCD state conference (2016), Presenter at Google Midwest Summit (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016), presenter at Wisconsin Technology Initiative (2013, 2014), grantee award winner for ASCD Teacher Impact Grant (2016), featured in WI State Superintendent's monthly publication (2015).
Heather Kangas
Lead Author/AdministratorHeather Kangas has been a staff member in the Oshkosh Area School District since 2000. Kangas spent her first fifteen years in the district as a high school teacher at Oshkosh West High School, teaching both English and Drama courses. As a classroom teacher, she helped lead the transition to standards-based instruction and grading practices in her department, introduced team teaching as an intervention for struggling learners in upper levels of English, and piloted a co-taught special education drama course designed to help students learn social skills. She transitioned to her current role as Instructional Support Teacher for Curriculum and Assessment (IST-CA) in the fall of 2015. In addition to being an instructional coach, Heather is an internal coach for PBIS, a co-leader of the Technology Team, a member of the Autism Team, and AP coordinator.
